Jefferson County 9-1-1 Dispatch participates in providing public education and giving back to the community in a variety of ways throughout the year. Our employees enjoy interacting with the citizens of Jefferson County at local events such as The Leader Expo’s, The Health and Education Fair, and many more. Our agency assists our public safety partners with events like the Jefferson County Fire Engine Rally, ‘Shop with a Cop’, and ‘Shop with a Hero’.
This year we have a goal of returning to classrooms at local schools to assist with educating students on the importance of 911 and the information that is needed when in an emergency. We will also be launching “Jefferson County 911 Little Heroes” in September. “Little Heroes” will be a classroom-based program held at our facility, specifically for educating younger kids on 911.
