Jefferson County 911 will initiate a call to the telephone numbers you provide in the event an emergency occurs in your geographical area. Notification will be made for both natural and man made disasters. Jefferson County 9-1-1 Dispatch has been serving the county since 1992. Originally the center was staffed by a Director, 3 Administrative Personnel, 4 Supervisors, and 16 Dispatchers. We now have a Chief and 5 Administrative Personnel. The Communications Division is now staffed with 4 Supervisors, 26 Full-Time Dispatchers, and several Part-Time Dispatchers.
The 911 Center is governed by 7 Board Members.
