Jefferson County 9-1-1 remembers Chief Ambrose "Sonny" Wingbermuehle

              Chief Wingbermuehle answered his last alarm December 2, 2007, at the age of 74. He served
                        the Antonia Fire Protection District for 34 years. He also served the Rock Community Fire Protection District for 16 years prior to moving to Antonia.

He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

ST. LOUIS - A 22-year-old St. Louis police officer who had been with the department less than a year died late Wednesday after being shot.



Remembering

Retired Chief Joseph Wingbermuehle
September 29, 1926 - June 17, 2007

Chief Wingbermuehle served as the Chief of Rock Community Fire Protection District for
32 years. He was one of the charter members and Chairman of the
Jefferson County 9-1-1 Board of Directors in 1992.
He was a good friend and will be missed.
