Agency News

On February 3rd, 2015 Jefferson County 911 Dispatch began using the new 800 Mhz Trunked radio system for communications with Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS agencies. Citizens and agencies that are accustomed to listening to the radio traffic on a scanner will need to replace their current VHF Scanner with a Digital P25 Trunked 800 Mhz Scanner. These are available at most electronics dealers. The Law Enforcement Talk Groups on the new system are encrypted, and will not be available on the new scanner.
